I was banned from IRC for asking for help with a stress test.

Mystic and Leadz one of them is the moderator, banned me for asking for help stress testing a server saying that I was promoting private hives because the server is private. I said it needs tested becuase it may become an official server and we needed the test regardless. He apparently thinks the hacker problem is solved. I got slayed twice yesterday. I think he may need to open his eyes a bit.

Where does it say I can't ask for help stress testing a server, official or private, in irc. Make a rule list when you enter the channel if you are going to have rules. Otherwise I should not have been banned and it is an abuse of power.

Hardluck, You were banned cause you kept spamming your private server/hive, I asked you not to due to the fact that in the official dayz irc room, we are not promoting private hives at this time. We know it is out there, no one will stop you. However at this time, whitelisted servers only for promoting. It wasnt till you told me off that you got the boot. So you told me off after I warned you, explained why it cant be allowed in the room. You ignored it and tossed your same server spam up in defiance. So yes.

Edit: Void, You didnt get kicked for warz, I kickbanned you for what you did. You came in the room, said sup. Then few secs later.

The response of "I don't have to do anything you suggest or say" was in response to being told I should make the server Official. I think fox news takes things out of context enough already, lets please try and not do that. You didn't explain why I was banned or what I was doing that was wrong and what I was doing was not against the rules I was not promoting anything. I only even mentioned the fact that it was a private hive because I didn't want people thinking they would lose their gear by helping me. I personally can't wait to play on the standalone official servers if they go that way.

Why not post the whole log before you pretend you are in the right. I still stand that I was wrongfully banned and a kick would have been enough since I am not being told anything other than you don't like private hives and think hacking isn't a problem. Why don't we just start over and I will ask you about anything questionable. I don't see why I need banned. I am not the problem that plagues DayZ. I am one of the people running around in it unarmed helping people with medical treatment. So, your ball.

This is what it actually means to promote. FYI.

I understand the definition of the word promote. Don't ban me for something I didn't do because you don't know the meaning of the word. Re-write the rules to say no talking about private servers, or don't ban when someone asks for help testing one. It's not against the rules as they are currently written.

If you want the whole log, sure np. =D Point remains I asked you not to push a private hive server in chat, and you ignored it. I mean chat was dead at the time, so was no reason orig to spam it 3 times either. You were not instant banned, you were asked and informed that at the time, private servers promoting was not permitted. If you wanted to promote your server, you should be whitelisted 1st. Nothing major, nor anything to argue about. Also trying to go to other people and cry about it, or bash them doesnt help the matter either.

Now if you wish to apologize for how you acted and are acting to me and to others. Then I have no issues unbanning.

I am sorry for the way I handled the situation. I should not have spammed. I did not however promote private servers. I think you mean discuss because promoting is something I did not do. I don't have a problem following the rules, but please make them clearer as the use of promoting is incorrect.
