special discount on stand alone for alpha testers?

i wonder if there will be a special discount for the stand alone on steam for those who own arma2 oa and are alpha testing...errr...playing DayZ right now :)

Less of an issue when 95% of the script kiddies can't do a damn thing due to scripting being disabled.

You mean IF they can't do a thing. I guarantee you the standalone will be hacked, its just a matter of how much they can get away with. Considering its such a focus for players who cheat now, guaranteed the major hack sites will be doing what they do now because there is money to be made out of it.

Si Senor. as stated in almost every announcement of the stand alone itself. Early birds will pay less !!! minecraft system...arma2.5 engine random words.. end of 2012.. red faction etc.

yea it will be hacked but it takes someone with a brain skill etc. but people like that dont wanna use the skills in thier job to play the game, but i would admit a small percentage would.

if i speculate the standalone is going have nearly all the scripting removed and just the essential eliments left init, but with it being funded now they can havea bigger team and work out any exploits to fix it.

tbh hacking is so easy on arma 2 the only thing i can see is that the standalone will be a massive improvment. cant get anyworse lol

Scripters outnumber genuine hackers in DayZ by a huge margin, just getting rid of scripting will make a huge difference.

You're never going to get rid of cheaters entirely, but cutting their numbers will be nice.

I would love to see long time players of the DayZ mod get some kind of slightly unique skin or badge. That way people can see it and be like "This guys a veteran of the wastes" That would be cool without giving us an advantage or discount over anyone else. Ya know just enough to say "Thanks guys, for supporting me in the beginning". :)

If your account has been banned for hacking you spawn in as a turd on the beach. It's like being in prone, you can roll and that it though. On the bright side zombies don't attack you but the sun eventually drys you out and you die. Then it automatically respawns you until you have to task manager close the game. Cool feature eh?
