Move Steam game/key to new pc?

Hi I'm getting a new PC tomorrow and would like to know if there is an easy way of transferring my Steam games(Arma 2 CO+DayZ) to it without having to redownload. Can I just copy the Steam/Steam games folder to an external HDD or what? Also will I have problems with my key? (I'll no longer be using the old computers stuff, it will be wiped when I back my stuff up).

You should be able to just copy the steamapps folder over, shouldn't have any problems with your key, just run each game on the new install once the files are copied over.
