When I am running DayZ without Steam and have to SS old skool styley, I prtscr, then go into MS Paint (FUCK YEAH) and just hit paste and boom, yer done. It analyses your computer and background programs which are unecissary to game, and stops them while you game, it boosts my pc by 42 percent. Fraps only slows own frame rates for pretty much 3 reasons:1) Your pc isn't capable of handling fraps2) If you are saving the recording to the same hard-drive as your games.3) While you are recordingIf you are not recording, it simply acts as a FPS counter. jblackrupert 308 Posted September 6, 2012 (edited) FRAPS doesn't have to be recording video to take screenshots.Things like Afterburner/EVGA precision are much better to use if thats all you want to do anyways.
