Bandits these days.....

Alright, so i spawn in, 3k blood and start to run in the woods with 3 other people(one being a buddy) and all of a sudden, CRACK, CRACK, CRACK, i die north of balota on the road. Me and my buddy sprint back to my body(took us a bit) and discovered.... he didn't take anything! From what i heard he was using a Winchester, I had a coyote backpack, rangefinder, m249 saw, steak, complete tool kit, dmr, silenced m9, (everything had at least 3 mags). What has banditry come to.... It's just killing now for fun, not for gear, and whoever killed me on US 1507, you sir, fail.

1] You were incredibly stupid to go to the coast, even at a Spawn Point for god sake!, with such good items, although I highly doubt anyone that can be that prepared would be stupid enough to do that. Smells Script-Kiddie

2] 3 people and you hadn't seen him first? The Winchester as terrible accuracy at range, he couldn't have been more then 100Metres, at max.

3] You had 3,000 Blood and on the Coast, you were going to die no matter what.

4] For all we know he was a Survivor, scared of three people running towards him. I would've shot you too, gladly.

Maybe he had to run off because of zeds or people coming at him, maybe he had IRL issues to deal with. You can't just judge, not to protect a bandit, or anything...

I was running to meet with a friend and the shots came from the woods to my left as i came through a clearing, we were raiding the hospitals for some medical supplies, and I was only meeting with one friend. :P and i'm not crying buddy, just showing disappointment, if you're gonna kill someone, at least take something.

Nah i'm not, i got my stuff back, losing gear is part of DayZ anyways :3 plus if I didn't, i can just run to the northern airfield and probably replace in a few hours xP

You were with 3 other people. Did they die, too? Because if I had managed to take one out of 4 out, and all I had was a winchester, I would probably assume the kill was enough and ditch the gear for my own survival. Sometimes leaving that gear alone is the better option.

This was a simple case of GGG.

He saw you had low health and friends who would protect your body, so he killed you and left so you could respawn with 12k blood and then reattain your gear.

You should be thanking this man.

well spoken sir.

I do shoot alot of ppl but mostly up north as they are usually better equipped, i kinda never loot them unlesh i need weapon/food sometimes i actually fire upon a person a few times aiming 10 meters over him just to let him know im around, he takes cover followed by a good shootout.

you see, a long range headshot then just run away isnt that fun, a challange in a firefight is.. you are alone, u see a group of players u shoot one of them, they spread out and try to flank you. the game is on, you change position and try to pick off another, prehaps one of them gets around you and shoot ya in the back. you die but atleast you had more fun than u whould if u just ran off

If you can't understand why someone would want to shoot you even if they can't cart off your loot (either due to space or safety concerns), then you're the one who fails, not the shooter.
