m.w. vindicator 880 Posted September 4, 2012 Perhaps every life you have that lasts longer than the player average( 1hour 5 minutes) you earn a point for that life. On your very first life you have no point. If you die in ten minutes. No point. Life two still no points. But this time you live 2 hours. Congrats you earn a point.Your celebration results in a bullet in the head from the locals. Life three. You have a point. There are no skills to spend it on. Default skins are for noobs. So you get a blue hat instead of a black one. There goes your point. You die in an hour and a half. Respawn without your hat. You have a point but decide to save it. Eventually you accumulate 3 points. Next life you spend them all to spawn near Cherno. You accumulate 5 points. You can spawn on a friend (too overpowered?). You could spend a point on a weapon skin. For instance say the AK is your favorite gun. You spend a point so that when you find and pick up an AK it has a different look. Others could pick up an AK with your skin if it spawned on your presence. This would put more value on life and wouldn't unbalance the Game/mod. Give me your thoughts. I want them. dutch_miller 159 Posted September 5, 2012 (edited) It's not that it's a terrible idea, it's just not an original idea. Basically it's a point system (not a revolutionary concept) that adds to character customization (also not a new concept).Edit: I don't like the idea of changing spawns, if it is only contributing to character customization, then it's an ok idea. If it allows you to select where you spawn, then no. Edited September 5, 2012 by Dutch Miller
sheriffhd 61 Posted September 5, 2012 Its what i would call the "Call of duty" Mentality of gaming right there.Adding features that are designed to keep people playing by giving them constant unlocks. The point of the game being so simplistic is what makes it addictive and enjoyable. because the game doesnt push you to keep playing, it just natuallary an addictive game. The idea of player customisation is a nice idea though, it would essentially render the Hero/bandit skin mute how ever. But if you could chose how your player looked, it could help to identify friends whom you are playing with if you know what they avatar looks like instead of holding position on the edge of line of sight while askign ieach other to perform a varity of movements just to make sure you're not looking at an enemy player.
