n4ndoz 20 Posted September 4, 2012 Well, guys, I did a little search, and came with a idea. When 1.7.2.5 came up my former server(R.I.P D=) wasnt updated, and it remained for a long time, most of my mates was running around some updated server and we noticed something. When connecting on a 1.7.2.4 and suddenly changing to a 1.7.2.5, you go back to the beach with all your gear. Its like a respawn, but you didnt died. So, my suggestion is to implement it as a penalty to SHp and Ghost. But, how it would work:3 Main steps:(assuming ConnectionCount = CC = 0)1- Once you reach a servers Lobby the CC is checked(if CC > 0). If so, when you try to connect the server advises you(or not) and if you proceed your position will be reset to one of the many spawn points.2- If your position was reseted your CC will be reset to 2 minutes, so, if you disconnect or abort again, you will be reallocated to a respawn point.3- If your CC = 0 and you do want to reconnect on another server or just abort to grab a Coke or smoke a cig. then the server allows you to (re-)enter in your previous position.Of course, the counter must be Server/Hive-side, but Im not a DayZ developer, and not experienced with developing MMOs.It is a nice solution, not a realistic one, but it is good because it wont make you directly get killed. You will avoid death, but probably not for so many time, since you have a chance to respawn at Cherno or Elektro. =)If you like or have a consideration, or sugestion, please, feel free.
TheOnlyRipper 2 Posted September 4, 2012 That sounds good but I would add something like a shot counter, so if somebody is shooting in your audience (like around 50 metres) or a bullet fly through your area you cannot disconnect and/or you cant reconnect the server after leaving. I guess that thing with the bullet in your area would probably work because the game has his own bullet ballistics. By the way sorry for my bad english mates ;D
