Temporary solution to the Artefact Problem

Recommended Posts

Put your game in windowed-mode* then stretch out the program window until it's full screen.

You now can play DayZ on full resolution with 0 artefact problems.

Obviously you might see a tiny perforance drop because it's windowed

For me I simply alt+tab to desktop and then alt+tab back to the game. This causes Arma to reload the graphic game engine (it takes around 5 seconds). It might not work for everybody but for me works 80% of the time. If it doesn't, I just repeat the process until it does.

Also there is a in-game command to make the engine to reload. It doesn't work so good for me, but my friends are using it. Hit shift + [numpad -], then type “FLUSH”.

I havent run into artifacting for awhile now, and iv been running around Stary Sobor aread, suppose iv just been lucky, the thing that has worked for me was the FLUSH command, if it happens again il try the windowed mode trick, seems like an easy fix.

Me too. Since 1.7.2.5 this works 100% of the time for me.

Set video memory to default then back to very high, or whatever you normally use.

I fixed my ATI by changing setting in Catalyst Control Centre. I have a pretty bad/old graphics card (4600). Id tried every other method and none even came close. I couldn't get within 800m of NWAF, stary etc.

Don't ALT+TAB just, use the steam ingame browser for the DayzDB map.
