Possible Ati Artifacting Workaround

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm using an HD 5750 graphics card and have had bad artifacting that flushing and all the other fixes (including the ati tray tool one) didn't fix) however, I went into the Catalyst Control Center and changed the following two settings. Under Catalyst A.I. I unchecked the Enable Surface Optimization box, and under MipMap Detail Level I set it to performance. I also noticed that these settings caused some text to look low quality on my steam overlay, and I would have thin white bars around the top and left side if it was black. If you notice red bars in the same places, set PPAA to SMAA-Very High, this fixed it for me. I hope this helps you.

Will have a look at this fix when I get back on.

Hopefully it'll work, nothing else has.

HD 5970 here.

Confirmed working so long as texture detail is on high or lower (if changed to very high then changed back down to high it will still show artifacts until you restart game).

Thanks for this, even if it does make a lot of the textures look a bit rubbish close up.

I can't really tell if it works for me yet, most of the time I don't get the artifacts, but when I do it's pretty bad. So only time will tell.

Are there similar features on ATI Tray Tool ?? CCC is a memory hog compared to ATITT.

I'm not entirely sure, sorry.
