Banned for no reason?

Recommended Posts

Hello guys. I was playing DayZ earlier when I randomly got teleported to the debug fields, then I was kicked. It said "script error" or something like that, unfortunately I can't remember exactly what it said. Anyway I tried to get on a few minutes later and it said "invalid serial key", something along those lines. After reading up about it, I found out that I have most likely get banned, which I don't understand. I was looking for help for the past few hours and decided my only option was to buy the game again on a different steam account, which I did. However, it STILL says invalid serial key. I can't even start Arma II OA. At this point I'm just getting fed up. What did I do wrong? How do I fix this problem? Why did I have to rebuy OA even though I did nothing against the rules? Please help.

If you were banned it would say you were banned on a connection attempt. Looks like you downloaded something...bad???

I'm still stuck. I can't figure this out! When I try to connect via Sixlauncher or Dayz commander, it tells me it can't find my game and that I need to change something in my directories. I have no idea what that means. Is there any way I can talk to support? Does anyone know how to help me? Thanks

Edit : I reinstalled Arma II OA a few times, and it runs now. When I try to connect to DayZ servers though, it said "bad version, connection rejected". My DayZ commander and Sixlauncher are still broken though.

Have you tried being a script kiddie? cause if so your key has been stolen and been used to hack. replacing your key with a pre banned key

WARNING: Massive cd-key theft going on - http://www.battleye.com/

"In many cases your actual cd-key in registry is overwritten with a banned one"

Did you maybe download something you shouldn't have?

OK, so you also bought a new copy, but you need to clean out your old keys from the windows registry before it'll register your new ones. Follow the many guides on this forum for running two different accounts or cleaning out your old CD keys.

I think I know what happened. Some dude online that I had been playing with for about an hour told me about an Arma II brightness enhancer mod that was supposedly allowed. I downloaded it, which was a retarded thing to do. So now I have basically thrown 30 dollars in the trash right?
