Play as zombie?

I tried searching if this had been suggested because it seems so obvious, but why not give players the option to play as zombies in the standalone?

Think about it, survival elements would be disabled so you have infinite hunger and thirst, but your mobility is limited and of course you can only do melee damage. I think it would just be a fun curiosity to explore, like playing as the goat in Arma!

No thanks. Rocket has mentioned in an interview why that wouldn't work. Like how a player wouldn't aimlessly walk around until he heard/saw a player and how a player just simply wouldn't behave as a zombie/infected should and that it would destroy the atmosphere of the game.

Thanks, it's Wishbone by the way. He was on an old show with the same name on PBS from quite a few years ago.
