So.. I was just at Stary Sobo, and after me and my mates fired some rounds at zeds and spooked some survivors off the server me and my friends saw a floating light in the distance over the fields (West).

We thought it was a flashlight and we was going to confront it, but were very wrong.....

I noticed my water was flashing so I drank a Pepsi. I then started running up in the woods against my friends, who was staring at the mysterious light. I followed the power lines and just suddenly, i dropped dead. Just like that, no shot, no muzzle flash, just dropped dead. Instantly... No bleeding, wounds, broken bones or anything.

It was like someone just pressed delete on my character.

Dead.

I spawned in Kamenka, going to meet up tomorrow again...

And why me? I did not kill anyone. No name tags. Using ghille and all.

Most times when I've been spontaneously killed by hackers my bones get broken but my blood does not deplete at all. If you get both those things you can be pretty sure it was a hacker.

Nothing happened, I just dropped dead. Seriously, one second alive the next dead. Not even my friends heared anything. (or saw).

It was like a command or something like in a console; "kill player_id 20201755" or something like that.

Were you closer to the light then your friend? There is a "Shield" script that if you get within 100m or so of a hacker that has it enabled it will instant kill you. Otherwise someone "slayed" you through a script.

the light may have been an m203 flare and as for the death i think it may have been A, you were shot by people who were lining their shot's up like in the latest ghost recon

Yes why, my friends were max 100m from me. Nothing more happend after my death, they bailed and ran away..

Wasn't a flare, it was a white light, not a red flashing one.

It moved around also.

I just dropped dead too, in the middle of the forest in pitch black n8.

I spawned there and were sitting for a min then I dropped dead.

I think someone sniped me and since the arma engine models the sound and ballistics correct I believe the bullet arrived before the sound.

To bad! it was my 4th day I believe and I had a pretty sweet gear together.
