Tr1x 53 Posted June 12, 2012 Had some fun today. Was in Elektro looting the general store when a guy ran in with a revolver unloading on me, he hit me twice and I took him out with my enfield, got some nice juicy loot. Next I ran into a barn nearby to see a guy with a crossbow aiming straight at me. I saluted him and I got no reply, so I took him out, better him then me. he had the starter backpack and not very much gear, some beans and a compass was about it. I then walk into the woods to find a bunch of crashed helicopters. Upon inspecting one, I noticed there was a survivor lying down in front of me. I looked at him, then started walking the opposite direction when he started firing at me. Couldn't tell what weapon he had, but it was silenced. I headshotted him with my enfield just before he killed me. There we both lie dead, next to a chopper waiting for another to come by and explore the wreckage and grab our belongings.Had fun, the players of this game are definitely getting more dangerous than the zombies however. Powell (DayZ) 734 Posted June 12, 2012 Well I saluted this guy way up north who I noticed had decent gear, and I told him I was friendly. So like a normal person, he drops to the ground and unloads an M1911 into my head.
Jaleno 4 Posted June 12, 2012 Playing with friends is a must in DayZ. The problem is that when people get better loot, they become more paranoid as they have spent time gathering it. Which ultimately is why the shoot first policy is in place at the moment.

Getting together with a buddy, I had accrued some good gear (including most survival gadgets) from a nice excursion to the NW Airfield, and I had started a hefty kill count from rounding up Zed hordes. My buddy wanted to meet up, so instead of me running all the way down to the coast, I decided to respawn in style. So I ran down the airstrip firing my AKM into the air and gathered up about 30 Zed, then fought them to the death near the barracks.I even had to go and round up some extra Zed to finish things up.After that, I had the most fun in DayZ yet with my buddy... and we only had 2 Winchesters with a handful of ammo, an empty 1911, and my Makarov between us. Lopz 2 Posted June 12, 2012 I usually start okay, get a winchester and have my fun. As i get better stuff, i get more paranoid. Right now i'm mega paranoid with my Ghillie Suit, ALICE pack, DMR and silenced M9
