How much himanity for hero skin? Also, is it true that hero skin makes you move faster?

Recommended Posts

5000, and it says so on the wiki, so guess its true.

Heroes are survivors who have contributed to the other players by giving them blood transfusions, bandaged them, given them morphine etc. These survivors are identifiable by their blue striped shirt. You can reach "Hero status" by reaching 5000 humanity.

From zero Humanity, you would need to give another survivor 20 Blood Bags or 250 Painkillers, Bandages, or Morphine (or any combination thereof) to achieve hero status.

Players who become Heroes also gain the perk of being able to run slightly faster than Survivors and Bandits.

So would 2 friends just need to raid a hospital and continually shoot eachother then transfuse 20 times each to get hero skins? Cause honestly that sounds like what's going to happen way more than people legitimately getting it through playing nice with randoms.

Btw, currently at 4770 humanity, seems like shoting zombies also helps it a little bit

and just staying alive

Basically. This would almost be like boosting to get the skin.

I am a Hero with over 30,000 Humanity on the public hive, and have done so legitimately all the way through. Here are some other important things to note about the Hero skin.

After becoming a Hero, you gain 150 Humanity every 20 Minutes. This effect ends whenever you switch to a different skin, but resumes as soon as you switch back to Civilian Clothes, which defaults to your Hero skin So long as you continue to have A cumulative Humanity over or equal to 5000.

The bullet proof vest on the skin is functional, but only marginally so compared to Camo. It is entirely ineffective vs any round higher than 9mm in caliber, and the vest does NOT absorb all of the she's damage.

You do run faster than any other character as a Hero.

Also, in my experience it appears that killing a Hero makes another player lose considerably more Humanity than killing a regular survivor. I believe the value is around -6000 Humanity but until the next hotfix I am not sure how to confirm this. If any other Heroes out there can attest to this or rebuke it, please say so as the info will be very helpful.

I hope this helps!

You don't need to even continually shoot each other. Just get whacked by a Z to start bleeding and keep transfusing.

I've the hero skin, but never ever bandaged or bloodbagged anyone, just didn't kill a lot of players (maybe 3 or 4 in the 4 months I've been playing)

Hero's have benefits that are well earned and that's a fact!

No amount of humanity will ever earn you a hero or bandit skin. That is, if you're a female character.

You can't continually shoot and heal to get a hero skin as you lose humanity after shooting another player.

Doubt it, any bandit you need to worry about wouldn't go through all that effort just to get the hero skin, which would then be taken away in one survivor kill anyways.

I have 30k and it was legitimate, my signature should explain it.

I have the Hero skin and yes you do move faster. I can't really say much about the durability of it but i was bombarded by 40mm grenades by a hacker and i actually didn't die as i was running for my life and they were exploding all around me... Looks pretty good though.

I read that they do run faster but I've had a hero in my team before and it was their internet connection that decided how fast they run, the hero skin didn't seem to make a difference.
