AlexTheTitan 0 Posted June 11, 2012 Last Thursday I climbed a ladder in Cherno. Upon reaching the top I heard a single shot nearby, a common occurence in Cherno. A moment later I collapsed to the ground. I subsequently waited a few moments as I bled out, giving my attacker time to finish me off, before logging out to do other things, hoping that when I logged back on one of my friends would be waiting with medical supplies. Although I am not sure whether or not it was the shot that wounded me or some sort of glitch, considering I consistently get wounded by pieces of the environment such as doors, I'm beginging to feel as if I was more than likely shot, and that by logging out I deprived someone of their well earned loot. I certainly knew that I was probably shot before I logged out, although there was a very small pause between my hearing the shot and being hit. If by any chance whoever shot me can give me the exact place, approximate time, and preferably the name of the weapon which I was holding (if possible), as well as some other information I would gladly give you my gear. kilmannan 1 Posted June 11, 2012 I was about to let rip at your log-off attitude, but actually, you redeemed yourself well there and I applaud your integrity.Well done.Another few hundred more like you and this game would be a lot better.

Pallidum 33 Posted June 11, 2012 This is an awesome gesture, although I fear you may have a hard time finding your attacker. :)

kilmannan 1 Posted June 11, 2012 Glad for the honesty mate. But end of the day its no biggy. Legitimate log offs are cool imo.How do you class that as a legitimate log off? He logged off having been shot and as he said himself, possibly deprived someone of a kill.If you are going to log off, you need to ask yourself this:"Am I logging off because of a sudden occurrence in Day Z which has adversely affected my character? Would I still be playing if this hadn't occurred? Am I adhereing to the spirit of the game?"Although the OP is obviously a good guy, his log-off wasn't legitimate in that sense. Sarcasmo 2 Posted June 11, 2012 Obvious trap is obviousThis really is the most effort put into trapping a bandit that I've seen in a while though.

How legitimate do you want to get?
AlexTheTitan 0 Posted June 11, 2012 If I was actually shot, it is obviously very unlikely that the person who shot me will find this. However if they do I'm sure that I could find a way to give them my gear without having them put themselves in any great danger. Perhaps I could arrange to walk out into a field and have them shoot me, although I suppose they might worry that I have a friend waiting to shoot them. Trying to tell people when they are allowed to stop playing a video game and when not is ridiculous though. Theres always a chance theres a reason for a logout which is not anyone elses business. In RL, nobody cares what happens in videogame wonderland.

Raven Lutador 0 Posted June 14, 2012 Hi,is there a way to switch fire modes like single to burst fire? if so which button is default and what's the name in controls settings?
Teleporter 0 Posted June 14, 2012 While I'm surprised at how cool guy you are, it still bothers me that people shoot everyone (e.g. you) as soon as goddamn possible. "Trust no-one" =/= "Kill everyone in sight"

mansen 1 Posted June 14, 2012 Hi' date='is there a way to switch fire modes like single to burst fire? if so which button is default and what's the name in controls settings?[/quote']You press F until you get the setting you want - this also changes to your auxiliary item (flares and such).
