Pretty sure this sort of issue is being addressed in the stand alone whenever they decide to put that out but hey whatever its the internet ill bitch if i want to.

So I decided earlier today that i wanted to go ahead and get my bandit skin. So naturally my goals for the day are.

1) Get DMR

2) Go to elektro

3) Go to high population server.

4) Use DMR

I decide to not be a total dick about it and to only pick off targets that were well armed and to leave people that appeared to be fresh spawns to their business. I decided i would not even loot the bodies i would create so that fresh spawns could roll into town and get some easy loot. First 15 minutes i get 5 murders pretty straight forward headshots all the way through and then it begins to happen. If this wouldnt happen I would of left that server with about 30 murders.. after my first 5 every.. single... one.. of them aborted out on me so the murders did not count. Funny enough MOST of those were people in ghillie suits.

I personally have found a g-suit about five or six times. I have never once alt f4'd my way out of a death. The way i see it a g-suit an as50.. basically all the gear in this game is meant to be passed on at some point. In my opinion if i get killed while i have a g-suit and other high end equipment unless it was to some sort of goofy bug then shame on me I should of been more careful. However it would seem that I am very much a minority in this. After those first 5 kills over the next two hours every single person i sniped down just simply aborted.

This is a great game this entire mod has been a fantastic experiment. When me and a few buddies get on its great fun for hours even if we end up having a net loss of a day just being out in the middle of no where and seeing someone in your group go down and the brief panic that ensues afterwards as you try to figure out what is going on is great. Even better is when that group that got the ambush on you ends up on the other side of the ambush an hour or so later when you and your buddies regroup. Good times.. great times... trading stary sobor back and forward lots of fun. But its amazing how fast that fun can turn to frustration when people use something like this abort exploit.

I am confident that this is something that is going to be fixed for the stand alone, however its bugs like this that can completely obliterate a game's community. In a game like this dying and losing all of your equipment is just part of the experience. When a player or group of players learn how to bypass that it just sucks the life out of the room. There have been several nights where me and my friends simply just say "screw it" after a few incidents like this or when every server we go to turns into a hacker jackoff session. We are all confident this wont happen in the stand alone but if it does.. well i can say with alot of feeling that day z will die. These kinds of things are okay for now but when people actually start paying money for your product and have this sort of issue unless its jumped on really quick its a death sentence.

I also dont wanna be "that guy" but day z did get alot of attention and while certain other games are coming out (the war z) that are claiming to offer the same experience except "better" even if it isnt actually a better game if they have a more stable and secure setup they will come out on top.

At this point of the game, getting a real kill or not does not really matter. Only the mess you create is fun.

There was one discussion i remember but it went like this.

"why didnt you alt + f4, you had plenty of time to be able to!"

I also want to add, that you become a better player if you take it like a man. Instead of running full speed into a barracks, you kinda wait and listen. Little things like that. You gotta learn your lessons.

I agree with gear being passed on, you die then that's it, from the beginning i've been told "never get attached to your gear" seems some of these people never heard the word man....

May post my server details on here soon, stark warning that if anyone is caught ALT+F4 in PvP they will get banned, same goes to ghosters and hackers... (1 ghoster, 2 ALT+F4 kids and 3 script kiddies in 4 hours last night).... oh and just one word of advice fella's! Trying to script on a Nameplated server isn't wise, niether is telling me to "FUCK OFF" after i catch you.

Alt + F4 is the pansy way out. I happened to run into a guy with a ghillie suit in an apartment building in Cherno the other day, we both opened fire with our rifles. I was bleeding but I managed to wing him pretty bad too. He then ran into another room. When I went to chase him, he alt + f4'd. He opened fire first by the way, whilst I was naively calling out "friendly?" over Direct Chat. People like that feel so badass and tough when they're hiding in the bushes sniping people from a mile away, but the second that they're at risk of dying, they whimp out. God forbid they have to start over.

Srsly, take it like a man. Whenever I die I look forward to starting over and being able to gear up again. Some people are just weak.

That is why I only use .50 cals. Hit those cowards with one of that bullets and he is dead. No chance to ALT-F4 and you get your kill. I am not such a big fan of .50 cals but with my favourite sniper rifles I have to hit him with a direct headshot or he will be disconnecting. And just to avoid this, my choice is the AS50. It hits, enemy dead....and when he then presses ALT-F4 it is just too late :D

I don't need to force quit, if you never find me.

2 weeks in, and I'm getting nervous. 800+ kills, I would like to see 1,000.

Someone took some shots at me just 2 days ago....

When some murderer see's me before I see them, I could easily be killed.

And if I am shot and killed, so be it.

Come to think of it, if it wasn't for hacker death 2 weeks ago, my character would be going on a month old.

I haven't been in a PvP exchange in almost that long.

id use the as50 alot myself but ill be damned if i can ever get my hands on one for any length of time. DMRs i seem to get all the time and it gets the job done but id love to get an AS50 with a few magazines...
