scott24z 22 Posted August 30, 2012 I am trying to play dayz on a tv with a native resolution of 1920x1080. My computer can't run it at that resolution though so in game I changed it to 800x600 (and some other resolutions too, checking my FPS). But whenever I change it to anything besides 1920x1080 it won't stretch the game to fill the screen, it just leave large black bars on the left and right of the game. How do I get it to stretch to fit my screen?
Dayzo 182 Posted August 30, 2012 (edited) Try setting the 'interface resolution' to 1920x1080, the '3d resolution' to 960x540, and the aspect ration to 4:3.Although full screen, the result is quite pixelated though.I actually prefer playing with both settings at 800x600 and having the black bars at the side - it gives me theleast pixelation at low resolution. The difference between playing high and low resolution is the differencebetween 20-24fps (low) and 12-15fps (high) for me, which is the difference between 'just playable' and 'unplayable'. Baralai 14 Posted August 30, 2012 Oh jesus, please use what Anti said and don't use 800x600. That low of a resolution will only cause you to bash your head off the closest wall due to how horribad the graphics will be ><. (At least what he said should work in aspect due to the game having a seperate graphics interface compared to the actual computer).
