thejackel 0 Posted August 30, 2012 Hi All,Hopefully someone can help me with my issue.I have been playing dayz for a couple of days and wanted my mate to have a look, so I let him log into my steam account and download arma CO and got him playing, and yes he loved it - so he set up his own steam account and bought Arma CO and went through the process of installing as instructions on the dayz website. When we both tried to log in it complained that the same CD key was being used. We deleted steam and games and play with 6 from his computer and went through the process of installing again - its still complaining about using the same cd key.Any ideas would be appreciated.CheersNeil
SmashT 10907 Posted August 30, 2012 (edited) DayZ uses your Operation Arrowhead cd key, all you need to do is run your copy of OA and it will use that cd key. Your friend will probably have to do the same with his copy. Edited August 30, 2012 by smasht_AU

XAM 48 Posted August 30, 2012 The key is stored in the registry. I had to delete it manually after trying DayZ on a friends account. Here's the path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bohemia Interactive Studio\ArmA 2 OADelete "KEY" and steam should create a new one with his own key.
