Soldier bodies still glitching - tried everything!

Recommended Posts

I've tried flushing. I've tried alt-tabbing. Loading in glitchy areas. Coming in from other places. I've tried changing vsync settings, AA settings, essentially flushing it in different ways. I've turned off threaded optimization, changing graphics quality, even tweaked with other settings, no change.

The only thing that works is changing the dead soldier files in dayz.pbo, that completely removes the problem. But if I do that, then I get kicked from every server after 5 minutes of playing.

Does anyone have any other ideas that can help me make this game playable again? I just spent $300 upgrading my processor to an i3 from an old phenom for this game :/

The only thing I have found that works for me is...

*Sorry requires "Steam" versions of both Arma2 & Arma2 OA*

1. right click on Arma2 in games list. -> Properties -> Local files tab -> Check integrity of game cache (mine always finds one file missing and then downloads it)

2. right click on Arma2 OA in games list. -> Properties -> Local files tab -> Check integrity of game cache (mine always finds one file missing and then downloads it)

3. restart steam & leave open

4. Fire Dayz up as normal (I use play with six)

Hope it works for you.

Will give it a go, thanks.

Appreciate the suggestion, but that is the very first thing I've mentioned trying. :(

There is only one thing that helps me, and even though you mentioned "loading in glitchy areas" I'm not sure if you ment this. Completely exit and restart Arma 2/Dayz and try to rejoin a server. Disconnecting and reconnecting does NOT solve it for me, only a complete restart. This removes the problem for me and my 3 friends for at least 30 minutes. Let me know if you've tried it/it helps at all.

EDIT: Also, if you're using a NVIDIA graphics card you could try using the fix. Helped a friend of mine.

Yes, that´s the only thing that worked for me too. I tried a lot of things and "maybe solutions" before but THIS was the ony way to solve the problem for 100% - unfortunately it doesn´t work permanently but for some minutes.

I use an ATI graphics card.

Change HDR quality a couple of times and set video memory to default this always fixes it for me.

Doesn't do anything for me :(

Tried that. But thanks for the suggestion. Instantly glitches when I start it up again.

Gonna try 1.7.2.6. Thanks for the help guys.
