Helicopter crash in ocean, now wont respawn, just keeps sitting in water

We fixed the heli on a server and flew it to gas station to fill up, then upon flight over the ocean the pilot go disconnected by the great battle eye! ( gotta love that crap) So the chopper crashed in the water

.and i havent tried to carry items out to fix it in the ocean becauase i figure even if i can fix it, it will blow up upon take off...SO, i restart the server, but nothing, it's still there in the water...i even tried shooting the tale of the chopper with a as50 to blow it up thinking that would hlep it repawn but not luck...anybody have this problem or any way to fix it?

Basically...is there anyway to get it to respawn or to get it out?

There was a thread a few weeks ago about a clan searching for the chopper on their server and finding it underwater. I've been searching for it, but I can't remember the title. It was very detailed, but the jist of it was possibly removing the server from the hive, and recreating it. Essentially it would be a server wipe, with all tents deleted and vehicles respawned to default. Think of it as changing the server ID or something along those lines. I'm not too familiar with how DayZ servers work, so I can't be precise-sorry.

If you can find the thread it would be a great help to you in figuring out the next course of action. Blowing it up doesn't do a damn thing.

It was a DE sever thread, but it was written in fairly good English. The posts were long and very detailed, and I recommend trying to find it- Sorry i can't be much help.

Hate to break it to ya, It's gonna stay there for a while. The hive will eventually pick up on the fact that it is no longer in use and throw it back into the server upon a restart (which restart, who knows). Just give it a few days (up to a week), then it will reset back into a new spawn point.

like i said in the post, shooting it does nothing... I think the respone above is going to be the finaly outcome..since i just took over this server, it would be nice if i could wipe it and start fresh..dont seem that the dayz staff wants me to do that though..they say " we cant do that at this time"

still in the water...going on 2 weeks. updated server to 1.7.2.6 and got a side application error, so not sure if it's fixed yet...if

I think my server is suffering from the same problem. Someone took the helicopter and crashed it near Cherno or parked it on the docks, so it might have sunk into the ground (probably into the water), and it hasn't been seen for nearly a week. Something simular happened about 2 months back with patch 1.7.2.4, and the heli wouldn't spawn for nearly 3 weeks. Sometimes an ATV would spawn in its place, which we shot to pieces. Then after 3 weeks it came back, and spawned nearly everyday after getting destroyed.

Everytime I boot up my server I can see in the logs that the UH1H is being loaded in, but it just won't appear.

We're having the same issue currently on US 3219. Setup the server few days ago, and it spawned near the island where it should be, but under water. No way to destroy it, and all you can do is see it underwater just chillin. Kinda bummed that right off the bat the Heli is inaccessible. Hope a fix is implemented or it at least respawns after 5 days. Been 3 restarts so far....
