Either i cant coonect or get disconected

I can connect fairly fine on non EU servers (i live in sweden) but never bin able to join a single EU server that's running 1.7, 1.6 though that works fine.

Problem is i keep getting disconnected on non EU servers, my ping also suck around 150 or so compared to 40ish on EU servers.

When trying to join EU servers i mostly get past loading screen (this taking from 5minutes to 15minutes (on US 30seconds or less) but then i get stuck on loading or retrying to authenticate.

Any suggestions?

Do you have the ARMA 2 beta patch installed? Are you running the game using the beta patch?

If you're getting retrying to authenticate try updating to the latest beta patch

Ive done that, im running newest beta.

Are you actually running the game through the beta and not just starting the unpatched version.

Yeah, it's easy to install the beta patch, and entirely a different thing to actually run the game using the beta patch.

Do a search on the forum for "beta". There are many guides and plenty of tips...it can be a little different depending on how you're currently launching the game.

Forgive my crude guide, there was a good thread with a tutorial but the rollback tossed it into a black hole

What i did:

Add the arma2oa.exe that's located in the beta folder as a steam short cut, edited the properties of the short cut, then edit the "Target:" box to say this.

Note: You'll have to configure it depending on the location of your games. default would be something like "C:\program files (86)\steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe"

"C:\Steam2\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" "-beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion" "-mod=E:\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;Expansion;ca;@dayz" -nosplash -world=empty -cpucount=6

and then put in the "Start in" box (Configure for your root ARMA 2 OA folder)

"C:\Steam2\arma 2 operation arrowhead"

Probably the most unclear drive, i use a junction for one of my games so the drives are different.

I figured it out but thanks. It got me past the issue where im stuck at authenticate i think. Now its just the regular disconnect every now and then or stuck at reviving data loading screen.

Sucks to not being able to play for more then 15minutes or so before you have to waste another 30min or so to find a server you can connect to....

long loading and not being able to play is part of the desync issues at the moment, the database is rather laggy at the moment i can barely get into my own servers let alone anyone elses

Ive bin able to play on 1.6.xx servers just fine with no lag or disconnect but when it comes to 1.7.xx its very unstable, how come it got released?

Anyone able to acctualy explain to me whats making it so servers arnt working for me. Everyone has this issue? Its hard to belive considering allot are playing and well im NOT
