Backpack for Dogs.

Recommended Posts

Hello.

My suggestion is basically to add a small backpack for our (soon to come) dog companion in DayZ.

First of all, its realistic enough, you can actually get this in real life. see picture below.

And secondly it should not be more then 8-10 slots (or maybe less then that), because obviously a dog cannot carry as much as a human.

Players should not be able to put weapons in the backpack ( atleast not primary weapons ),

so basically my "vision" of them if you will. Is that it can help players put stuff like food and water in there, maybe some medic supplies etc... smaller items in general.

And obviously the backpack for the dog, should be really rare, and not easy to get.

I think it could be a fun thing to have. and also enabling players to carry a bit more loot with them.

On a side note, you could also use the dog as a "Rescue Dog" if you for example put some medic supplies in a bag, and sent it towards a injured player or friend with a Auto-Morphine Injector, or something like that :)

This last part about Rescue dog is only thinking out loud, but the idea kinda appeals to me.

So i hope other players will give some constructive feedback on this, either if they like the idea or not :)

The dogs backpack needs at least 30 slots so you can put in a couple of .50 sniper rifles + ammo...no need for food.
