Walked into Stary Sobor camp. Its dark, and i see vehicles parked IN two of the tents. one of them is pretty smashed up, but the other is fine.

I get in. BOOM. Vehicle immediately blows up. How? Do the vehicles glitch out and immediately take 100% damage? If so, how did someone manage to park them there without getting blown up themselves?

I dont think it was any kind of demo charge (can you even get them in game?) or a sniper round or anything. Which suggests something dodgy is going on.

Frustratingly, after running for 35 minutes to get back to my gear, the server shuts down just as my body comes into sight. There goes my M4A3 CCO SD/DMR/G17.

Let me get this right... You had gear that good, and you decided to get into a vehicle that was INSIDE a tent?

What were you thinking? You should know these vehicles are made of explosive glass, and that there was no way you were going to get them out. Why even bother checking when you could safely assume that they were doomed in the first place?

It was most likely a trap set by a hacker who thinks he's clever. Spawning Vehicles that are not properly ID'd, result in it exploding upon entering. He most likely left it there waiting for someone to enter - just to piss them off.

Never been in a vehicle within DayZ, only 'regular' ArmA, where i've not had any issues.

I scouted the area pretty well before getting in. Nobody to be seen, and given the mental age of some of the people using this forum, i figured someone thought they found a really super awesome hiding place.
