Duping in stand alone

i just wanted to add this to my earlier thread, but i think i touched a "forbidden" topic, the devs and / or forum team doesnt want any discussion about it since they probably arent willing to implement anything effective in the stand alone, and therefore they locked that thread. anyway, as surely 90% of the players know, duping is extremly easy and doesnt even require third party programs, you can just use a game-mechanic and dupe items within seconds. this exploit ruins the game for many players because everyone runs around with top end gear, and if you die, it doesnt matter, just run to your tent/vehicle and dupe again... perma-death ? consequences ? i dont see any.. are the devs aware of the easy duping , and the massive duping thats going on ? this duping destroys the game and is as bad for the game as hacking/scripting. are the devs aware of that and develop mechanics that prevent duping ? i hope so, otherwise this mod/stand-alone will fail miserably

Considering folks have posted about it quite a lot, I am very sure most people know about it. It is a problem for the mod right now yes.

Nothing forbidden, has more to do with you could read the forums and see what you posted has been covered a lot, just like this has.

i hope they find a fix for all that thread duping.. whenever shit gets locked/deleted, some moron just runs to their preferenced subforum and posts another dupe.. no wonder people turn away from the forums, it ruins it for everyone..

clothing dupe method is a problem with the arma2 engine and cannot be fixed unless he removes clothing changes, or does like what lingor island did; when you switch clothing you lose your old one (put on ghillie you do not get civillian etc...)

That is simply wrong. Yes, it is caused by an engine issue, but it is absolutely no problem to fix that. A lot of duping methods have already been fixed and it's pretty easy to fix most others. There are a few issues with fixing all duping, but they are mostly manageable.
