ubikPainKiller 2 Posted August 28, 2012 hi Guys not sure if this has been asked before ..First i have had a Vilayer server now for 2 weeks and has be running fine ... easy Admin so easy to update ...A few thing i wanted to know , is there anything else we can run from the server to protect our self as much as we can from hackers ..also i have noticed that there are some tents on our server .. i have destroyed them a few times but after a restart the are there again with all the stuff back in them plus since our server has been running all the weather i get is Rain and foggy ?? never a clear day .. is there somewhere to set that up or am i just stuck with this?cheersPainKiller Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
terex 322 Posted August 28, 2012 Tents pop back up every time the server restarts from a bug. Not sure on the server stuff, sorry. SmashT 10907 Posted August 28, 2012 There are a few rcon tools you can use, some are only available if you are using a dedicated server though. BERcon and ACP seem pretty efficient as long as you have an admin on to check the logs.Tents are bugged in 1.7.2.5, they either won't save at all or will respawn every restart with all items again, not much you can do until that issue is fixed, I would request a new instance once that has been resolved.Regarding the weather I was saying the same thing on TS, always seems to be cloudy/rainy whenever I play. XMorTus 15 Posted August 28, 2012 Don't feel bad we cant add anything to our tents it goes by by when reboot the server our vehicles re-spawn and don't save anything in them and something keeps changing our time. not sure what but reboots only fix it half the time. Torndeco (DayZ) 46 Posted August 28, 2012 Since its a managed server slots, u cant install any 3rd party software on it i.e dayz-anti-hax / becAll u can do is keep your scripts.txt / remoteexec.txt / createvehicle.txt updated.Have a look @ http://code.google.com/p/dayz-community-banlist/source/listJust remember to check it ever few days for changes / updates...Then u just need to keep a watch on the battleye / server logs & ban hackers, might seem alot at first but u get the hang of it. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
