Make Campfires Take Away Cold Symptoms

Recommended Posts

Swim for too long you get a cold and need a heat pack. Stay out in the rain you need a heat pack. Can't campfires be made to provide heat and not only to cook meat? Its a fair trade off, fires arent exactly covert...

Umm I thought fires already did increase your temperature, also you can sit inside buildings as this will also increase temperature. Its too late though if you have the 'cough', only antibiotics will fix this.

Campfires DO provide heat, does anybody actually know the game mechanics anymore?

I've used campfires to fix my chills. Hands stopped shaking, little thermometer icon returned to normal. Outside, at night, in the rain (those are some good matches, I tell you) I got warm pretty quickly, too. Didn't even need to add wood to the fire, the first bundle had me fighting fit before it burned out.

Sit closer to the fire. Bonus: Also, you can light fires inside buildings. Barns and storage houses are good for that.

Fires increase your temp but have no effect curing you if you already have a cold.

Only antibiotics, which are rarer than seeing a player at the NW airfield wielding a Makarov, can do that.

That's weird. All I can think is that there was some kind of glitch, like your fireplace was under the ground polygon and it didn't count you as being in proximity or something like that. I've only done it once, but I enjoyed great and nearly immediate success.
