im about to commit zed suicide.

Ok. I have suffered the ghillie/camo suit glitch.

I was wearing some very fetching camo and entering a 'camp area' on one of the 'closing down' servers.

Being a little suspicious, I decided to don my ghillie suit and belly snake in. I removed my pack and proceeded to apply the ghillie suit.

After a couple of seconds of zipping and unzipping, I was a shrubbery. With a new, empty pack.

Ok, time to drop this duped replacement and pick up my........DOH!

It was gone. My pack that I had carefully placed on the ground in the hope of avoiding the bug had done a Lord Lucan on me.

No worries. I would soon be filling my shiny new, but empty one at the camp.

Nek minnit......no camp! - {sigh}

Putting my disappointment behind me - remembering that we shouldn't get too attached to gear - I moved on.

Thing is, I have lost my civvies and my camo kit and am stuck as shrubbery. And we all know the immediate action drill if you see a Yucca moving toward you.

I have been camping my favourite flats and civilian spawn sites in the hope of getting some new camo, at least. Alas to no avail.

It has been a week of being a hermit and getting a little dull.

I have decided to throw myself under a zed train.

I have picked a quite spot. Close to the centre map spawn points, in the hope that I strike it lucky.

My questions though.

How long will my zombie smorgasbord body remain after my death?

And....

How much of my gear can I expect to recover?

I assume that I will be the first survivor to get to my remains.

You should be able to run back to your body and get what ever items you had on it. I once died at the north west air field so i ran from Cherno up to the airfield and took all my old gear the only thing i couldn't take was my ghillie. Your body will stay where it is until the server restarts :)

Too bad you can't just OD on morphine. Good luck.

I've found that gently setting my pack down is a 50/50 proposition.

I do NOT drop my pack when I switch from camo to ghillie.. I just switch it.

I have yet to have an issue with losing anything.

I did try with the pain killers - hoping for some kind of psychedelic, trippy, 'chase the dragon' run through cherno to my inevitable death.

Alas no such luck.

Can't wait to see how many zeds I can pull tonight.

Here comes the zed train, choo choo!

As long as I get my glock back then ill be happy. And restocking meds should be a dawdle. It is hard enough convincing people that I am a loner EMT. Without the ghillie suit covering my hero skin this would definitely be easier.

Well done. Obviously your skills in changing suits is much higher than mine.
