Right.. and that comes from the same devs that are (as today) unable to fix the problem in Arma2? Why it should be different for DayZ? They got the skill to do so ... now?

You don't understand. Even with all the skill they have, they still CANNOT, I mean it's literally impossible to fix the hackers. Arma's engine is literally preventing it. Changes would have to be made to the engine itself, and mod cannot do. An update to Arma 2 CANNOT do that.

Hmm Im fairly new to the game but I just lost a full set of equipment when I died for no apparent reason in an empty warehouse..at least now i know why it happened I thought it was a weird bug.

No probs though i was bound to snuff it sooner or later.

For the first time in forever, I spend like an hour searching around the fields on chenarus on one of my favorite servers, I find a downed helicopter, I get NVGs, AS50, and two DMRs, (One for my friend) I walk for 5 minutes, and a hacker kills nearly 36 people all at once on the server. This is the third time in a row I've been killed by a hacker. 3rd time. I've literally died to hackers more times than zombies. In a zombie survival. Wtf. All on server I know and have played on for a while. What the hell is going on with this game.

I play on low pop servers exactly for this reason. Makes it a lot easier.

Even though the engine they're using is "arma 2.5" it's probably going to be 99% arma 3 with some of arma 2 in it

I'm hoping that' how it'll end up. They're still not finished making it though.

I'm sorry OP, but I don't think anyone gives a shit about your issues in DayZ.

I wish i knew more about this issue. I understand that arma 2 was specifically designed to allow the kind of operations the so called 'hackers' are using to cheat in the game. However, i would have thought that collecting script-running information from the logs would reveal every single cheater - and the resulting bans would clear up the scripting problem in a matter of days. So to me it is odd, that i hear(i think) they are collecting cheater info from log files, but the 'hacking' goes on and on. Either the hackers aren't, on the whole, using the open nature of arma2 to cheat, or they have scripted ways to do things like modify log files. Also, although client side scripting is built into arma 2, i would have thought a server side switch to turn this functionality off would be an obvious, value-adding addition. Like i said at the start, these are only vacuous questions in my mind as i know nothing about the technicalities

I just enjoy playing to see how far I can get. Somedays its 5 min then 12 days in a row. Since you can't really win and will die sometimes even if you are doing everything right, just sit back and enjoy. Try to pull off funny stuff and entertain yourself, that's the point of playing a game.

I'm usually by myself but occasionally team up with Mr. Cheesypoof for team work. I like exploring just to make sure I see everything that I watch on the Youtube videos.

Just have fun, don't be so serious.

PS What does "QQ" mean, not up on the acronyms?
