Are svd camos any good besides the fact that they have camo I dont really care about the range finder since I have one I'm talking about damage and accuarcy.

8000 damage. The sight I a bit tricky to use (I actually dont like it) but It is very powerfull for the sound it makes. Also I have not seen one in the day Z mod yet so I think it is quite rare.

Yeah, for how rare it is it's not worth finding. I guess with practice it would be effective but a DMR is much easier to use and deals the same damage, with the M24 being even easier than that and dealing the same damage.

Chances are that if you use the sniper to camp, it will be harder to find you.

Not that much noise + camo = stealth. Of course I'm going to assume you will use it with a ghillie suit. Otherwise it's not worth it.

Yes the sight is tricky because it's zeroed for 1,5m tall targets....although i remember BIS having it modeled correctly before ( 1,7m )

It's quite practical for the built in range finder ( if you can handle it ). The camo gives you a better visual protection if you move slowly.

How is it harder to use than a DMR? The chevrons are <100, 100-200, 300, 500, 700, 900 while DMR you have to "guess" the right mildot. I've had SVD camo couple of times and i love it.

are you sure thats the chevrons? ive seen videos saying its 200, 400, 600, 800, and 1000. i personally think the dmr is alot better, its ammo is alot more common and it has a better zoom.

"Are SVD camos any good?"

Yes. YES! OH MY <expletive deleted> <expletive deleted> YES! Ammo's rare, though.

Use a ghillie with it, and be forever concealed.

Last time I had an SVD I got 25 murders with it before dying... So yeah it's GOOD. The in-scope range finder is priceless

The chevron on top which is above the horizon ( looks like a roof ) is the one for <100m actually <200m ( i don't know if it's realistic because i haven't found a pic with that one yet ), the center/horizon is 200m. It's an aiming help for targets up to that distance because you have to lower your barrel because your zero is set farther.

It's my favorite scoped weapon in the game. It does well with compromising in relation to all aspects. Plus if you're used to the range finding mechanic you can get shots off at varying range quite quickly, and more accurately, than other snipers.
