When was the last DayZ wipe? and How?

Just wondering a few times in the past people have asked for restarts and wipes of all servers, players etc, when was the last one?

Just wiping all players gear and tents would level the field and allow some of that DayZ magic back (Seem to be losing a lot of players / members due to some of the tagged issues)

Before you moan about it, Don't, I have some of the top gear and will not mind in the least and I doubt many other would either. The only people who would find issue with this would be those who have become attached to their stuff and scared people.

One another note what does it take to do a total wipe? Update? Admin control? Rockets "word"?

Understood, but I'm thinking resets regular away, to keep large scale stuff from happening, perhaps each update. If you wanted stuff so bad then find them again. and each update could "wipe" stuff Its only my opinion mind, but when servers and players get all the good stuff It renders the Mod pointless. I don't see any fixes to anything anytime soon as there is no communication from the devs on these issues (Unless I missed it)

I'm getting sick and tired of all the issues stated and I don't want to walk away because the Mod is a shambles. Just look at the post's there must have been a lot of players leave because the Mod is affected by this kinda stuff.

My point such as it was is the dupers would be back in operation within a few mins with all the stock replenished.

A wipe doesn't hurt anyone who plays the game without cheating as they (including clans) would just say lets go find some stuff again.

Alot of normal people die, then go back to their 72 tents spread across 17 different servers and rekit out immediately.

As mentioned above, unless the duping issue is resolved, the only thing regular wipes would accomplish is to make sure that people duping items will always have the upper hand, not the legitimate players.

Wait for the standalone and we hopefully won't need people asking for wipes at all.

Go with the server wipe and drop the tents from the game ?

Dump the .50 cal snipers and the thermal guns, heck pull the sd weapons too.

Then you would have roving bands of players migrating from 1 store to another with alice packs full of beans and ak mags :}

I suspect a rather large and noisy shootout would follow for the rights to farm the tents at stary sobor or the NW airfield, wait a min, we did that a couple of months ago ! LOL

The game needs more content to aid groups forming and building a base of operations, either for good or bad intentions but that will happen in the standalone i hope. Until thats done or the duping items / hacker wars are fixed in the current mod its up to the players to find some way to have fun with the game.

I have gone full time SAR for my unit with great results so far , also raiding the crazy big camps all over the far N is quite fun when you find someone home .

I would like to see a massive wipe of snotty noses, as well. But, in all honesty Rocket wouldn't do this. He wouldn't be able to handle the deluge of tears to follow.

We own "many tents" on different servers and with the current dupe state, items poping back every server restart, etc.. almost everyone if full geared up or so.

Kind of boring..

I'm totaly for a big wipe, when this kind of stuff will be fixed and so on.

IMO, it's good to start over sometimes. Plus, if you know the main game mechanics and such, gearing up is pretty fast and fun! ;)

I think wipes could help. It might help to make folks remember that this is an alpha and not anything more. Churn em out weekly in the least.

+1 for wiping everyone's gear once the duping has been addressed which once it is, I imagine all players will be reset. I can't wait :)
