dstrife123 4 Posted August 27, 2012 This would totally be more awesome with scary monsters/ghosts in game, or change up the zombies and have uniques. There was times in the game where i'd be looking around with a flashlight and expect something scary to come out from behind the trees. Maybe a zombie animal of some type. Like when i'm in a house and looking around i was thinking how scary it would be to hear something and look up in game and see something looking down at me. Just an idea to make a zombie survival more scary :

CerebralZombie (DayZ) 151 Posted August 27, 2012 This has been implied already. It would are to the scary-ness, but I'll leave it to Rocket to know what's best. This mission this guy made is pretty scary:
DemonGroover 8836 Posted August 27, 2012 Have you not heard of the many Urban Legends of DayZ?http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/22703-day-z-urban-legends/More than enough scares - if you dare?
notSLICK 26 Posted August 27, 2012 (edited) pretty sure that mission is based on the zombie sandbox mod. Edited August 27, 2012 by notSLICK
Securion 9 Posted August 27, 2012 Sound and weather effects is the best way to add scary stuff i think. If its dark, its raining, the lightning goes and you hear something your not sure you've heard before... that goes a long way.Maybe also add more types of zombies, like animal zombies. ...zombie wolfs that are growling in the dark, stalking you... but are maybe scared of light sources? (light sources comes to good use!)First of all though, the zombies that we already have in the game must be more of a threat and not just a nuisance you avoid by taking a few steps every now and then while killing unarmed noobs. Improve their pathfinding!
