SkilzZ 23 Posted August 27, 2012 Hey Guys,My name is Alex, im german so dont worry about my english, but i have to say something :i play dayz since 3 months and allways my fps-average was fine (25-30fps on middle settings) and i never had any problems with the game, bud since a couple of days, my fps-average in Arma 2 + OA + DayZ is under 15 !!!I dont know why, but it happend after i installed something over the dayz commander (think it was a new peta patch or something), and now i have no idea what to do :(Reinstalled both Games ? - Over 3 Times now, and i also cleaned my Windows Registry, so i deleted everything which was from Bohemia Interactive and DayZ.earlier i had 25 fps in the cities , and now I'm glad if I have 15 !:/If someone could help me, I would be very happy :)My Skype is : chiller352
motocross 49 Posted August 27, 2012 Dayzcommander has nothing to do with patches, dayzcommander is a mod down loader and program to manage dayz. Your fps wouldn't have anything to do with dayz commander if you are actually using it. There is a thing you can do to lower fps lag, if you message me if interested I can give you the details on it.

will@willweb.co.uk 0 Posted August 28, 2012 Have you managed to fix this? I'm experiencing the same: used to have about 60fps on very high setting at 1080p, now I have about 15fps no matter what graphic settings :(specs are i7 2600k & gtx 560ti
donsteffa 0 Posted August 29, 2012 (edited) 1. Update drivers, 2. (or) Downgrade drivers (Could work since arma has been out for quite a while and sometimes new drivers dont support older games that perfectly with some graphic cards)3. Check for malware/virusses etc,4. Remove every unnecessary parameter in the start up line,5. QQ at a local computer store and demand them to fix it.6. ????7. ???8. maybe profit. RapturJesus 90 Posted August 29, 2012 Go into advanced settings in the game. Turn post processing effects, shadows, antialising, and ATOC off. Set video memory to default. You can turn a bunch of other things off as well.
schrapple 119 Posted August 29, 2012 Same problem here, for no reason a couple of days ago my FPS crashed. No updates or driver changes or any of that. I have a 2700K and a GTX560 ti so it should handle it no worries.
jurrasstoil (DayZ) 12 Posted August 29, 2012 I tried 10-15 servers yesterday. Same problem. I even joined some servers with <5 players on them. The thing is that it just changed. Everything was working fine, then everything went to ****. I mean, the only logical thing is that is has to do with one of the beta patches i guess, because that's the only thing that changed on my end as far as I can tell. jetao2008@hotmail.com 175 Posted August 29, 2012 DayZ commander has the option to download previous versions of the game, so maybe try to downgrade to 1.7.2.4 and see if it helps? But it's weird to see that some other people are having the same issues. schrapple 119 Posted August 29, 2012 Don't think that's it, I played on 1.7.2.5 for a while with no problem then suddenly it went bad. Unless it has to do with the server version in use?
SkilzZ 23 Posted August 30, 2012 Oh wow, im so happy, that im not the only one who have this problem :DBtw : 2 Everyone who say, turn graphics down, change this ect... It has nothing to do with Graphic-settings or whatever...I logged out after a few hours playing... then next morning i logged in and my fps jumps from 30 to 15...-> LOGIN - 30fps 1Sec Later - 15fpsI would say the only thing what we can do is waiting for a new update, and I Hope they will fix it :/
byrgesen 1341 Posted August 30, 2012 For some reason a disc defrag works wonders for Arma II. Try it mateMaybe do some disc cleaning aswell. And what ever else people wrote :)

AMDftw 1 Posted August 30, 2012 I noticed the lag when i first get into a server for the first time each day. After playing the game for 5min, i shut the game down and relaunch the game and my FPS goes back to normal.. I do play with Eyefinity enable so my resolution is 5760x1200. everything is on ultra setting minus the AA is set to 2x. I have full tree and bush foliage enabled as well. Closi (DayZ) 9 Posted August 30, 2012 Guys, it has nothing to do with your hardware. My rig is now approx. 3 years old -> AMD X4 Phenom 965, 4GB RAM, (New graphics card) HD 6950I can play this game on very high settings except AA, ShadowsMy brothers rig : newest i7, HD 7970 , 16 GB RAM= We get the same FPS results DEPENDING ON THE SERVERS WE PLAY ON.Custom24 ( on bad server ) I get max. 10 FPSUK33 (good server) I get 60+ FPS.When server is not getting restarted it will sooner or later start to lag for some people.Just look for a new server or wait until it gets restarted
:VADER: 88 Posted August 31, 2012 the newest update did the same for me made my fps drop to like nothing I could not even play
Gradan 4 Posted August 31, 2012 Try to set your sceneComplexity lower like to 100000. This setting can be found in my documents in Arma 2 other Profiles\Charactername\Charactername.ArmA2OAProfileOpen this file with a texteditor and search the entry, edit save, done. Good luck. twinturbonet (DayZ) 294 Posted August 31, 2012 Yea Closi, servers can make or break your FPS. I was assuming the OP had tried different servers already.
