Enfields own the Northeast...

We have an ongoing saga stemming from the Northeast tent raids which I posted about in the Legit or Cheap tactics thread. We set up a camp back in the same server like I said we would, and have been having ongoing raids against this clan with my small group of friends.

Tonight was a bright moonlit night on the server, and there were just two of us. It starts out with my friend near Stary Sabor pillaging a deer stand when two survivors passed by. He hid in the bushes, and a third survivor decked out in a gillie suite wielding a m107 were ghosting the first two men. So my friend follows the last man until he gets his chance to pop an enfield round into his back. He loads up this guys equipment and heads north. We meet up in Berenzino where we rush out to our little hidden tent camp. We dump the M107, gear up with bare minimum and our medical load-outs for a Berenzino raid.

We are both geared with only pistols and Enfields. He has a revolver, I have a Glock 17. We scour Berenzino, which is seemingly a bust. We are getting very little loot, and I can't even find an Alice pack. So we decide after we raid the military tents we are going to a more populated server as there were only about ten players on.

As we approach from the West near some houses, I spot a crawler that looks like a survivor. I alert my friend, just as he spots three men on the opposite side of the tents way in the treeline about 400 meters out. We both lay down with our Enfields and zoom in. We are on the hillside way out of range of Zombies. They have not spotted us. As they crouch and wait, I take aim, I fire... The silence is broken as my .303 round bursts through the survivors chest cavity. Things are about to get hairy. My mate fires off a shot, then I respond with one. After about five shots, three men down. We wait a few minutes and scan the horizon for movement.

We see nothing, so we race on top of the hillside over to our score. As we approach my mate notices a man crawling in the trees. Before I can even see what he's going on about, he puts one right through the mans head. That's four down.

We rush over to the corpses in anticipation, never expecting what we find. The first body, Camo DMR, NVGs, Range Finder, GPS.... Holy cow, these guys are decked out. We move to the next, M4A1 CCO SD, M4A3 CCO Camo, another pair of NVGs, M9 SD, Range Finders and GPS. We grab all of this equipment and ammo.... and I finally got my Alice pack.

We have to get the heck out of here NOW! This is the best score we have come across so far. And here two packless men with pistols and Enfields come out victorious. We rush to our tent camp and unload the goods, what an exciting night.

After this we meet up with my other two friends, one of them I killed with an M203 HE grenage on accident...

Just goes to show you, you can have all the fancy gear you want, tactics and patience will win every time. Oh, did I mention that Enfields own the Northeast?

Lee is good, always liked it. Especially for the zombie horde effect. Las day i camped at Cherno's fire station with Lee. No one had the balls to go inside with all that zeds running around :D Had to hide for quite some time because someone was pissed that i just lollygagging there and fire at random strangers on the streets (that was fun to see how they was scared to go inside the shop). My friend died at the ambush spot in the cafe so our trap was incomplete, i had quite a lot attempts on my life by the "snipers" too but still that was fun. In the end some dude thought that he had enough, killed all that zeds around, stormed the fire station (with my friend's scoped AK) that was literally covered in dead zeds just to taste some lead poisoning in the arse. Now that was really funny since i was outside at the moment, just looking at him for a few seconds while he was running up and down at the stairs and wasn’t been able to find anyone. And then he realized that something is really off, saw me sitting just right in front of him on the other side of the window... I felt a bit sorry for the guy, i mean he went all that way just to hear that loud annoying sound for the last time :) Man that was a laugh! :D

P.S.

Nevertheless it was a tence fight in Cherno (And i salute that nameless survivor since my friend died in a fair gunfight). But still harassing people with Lee is really funny :)

Once all I had was an Enfield, and I was able to up my murder count by 6 in a short time and get away with some awesome loot.

Most important if you are using an Enfield -> don't be the first one to start shooting. Be nasty, evil and cruel, just like the world surrounding you.

I just cant really feel it with a enfield. With a mosin nagant i would just play the old man from good soviet times, killing those capitalist with one swift shot.

I really dig the Winchester. I was on top of that castle tower...and 2 guys were sneaking to the outside guess this didn't see me go up and I was able to kill both of them when they were outside the castle perimeter with me up top. The gun sounds quit and only the top of my head was peaking out so they just keep running in circles freaking out b/c they couldn't find me lol....they had the best loot ever. Coyote Pack(The best pack) M4A1 CC0 with 8 mags....full inventory item list....just the best stuf ever lol.

Yeah, Winchester is a decent "spray" gun with low firing distance and noise. But even if Enfield are not tolerate any mistakes - it's still rewards you more than anything else. One hit - one dead body. And i must say it's really comfortable to aim with it. Even more so - Lee is abnormally loud. Some might think that this is expose you naked but no. Just to some extent and nothing more. Gun is too loud to tell exact firing spot and in the city (beware of the horde, yeah) it's nearly impossible to tell where the shot was made. On this street or the next one? May be on top of that building? Yeah, zeds can and will expose you but if you are crafty enough - they just cause more chaos and panic rather than expose you. Just kill someone (aim well or you gonna have a baaad time :D ) and confuse others that you are there. Zed's will gather near the dead body and your perfect trap is ready (looks like "accident" yeah? Seems zeds ate this guy, might be something of value on him).

And no, you can't force zeds from half of the city to gather near desired spot with Winchester :P

P.S.

If you have too much zeds on you and some of them decided to pursue you while others devouring body (at this time they ignore anything) - just use some low noise weapon like Makarov (headshots only. Better not to expose yourself further if you are going to use that trap and try double the winnings) and Winchester to clear those extra zeds. Then bury the bodies. Enfield is an evil weapon for an evil people. Mwahahaha! :D

As badass as the enfield is, an enfield with a scope is just another sniper rifle |:

I consider it more of a mid range ambush weapon and I don't really see why it gets so much hate from people, personally prefer it over the winchester for every use that isn't trying to PvP from inside a city, and it's not like the winchester is great for that either.

This thread does seem just like repeating "moderately powerful rifles will kill people dead if you outsmart them" a bit too.
