Will I need to upgrade my PC for DayZ Standalone?4

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I love DayZ, I play almost everyday, but I'm worried with the new standalone version coming, my PC may not be able to handle it... I have a Dell Inspiron N7110. It's not the best laptop but it can do the job for many games. I'm just wondering if this rig will be able to handle the new ArmA III engine with DayZ. Thanks.

PC Specs -

Manufacturer: Dell

Model: INSPIRON N7110

Processor: Intel® Core i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40 GHz

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M

RAM: 6.0GB

Alrighty. I haven't really researched this due to the fact that my computer is built to handle any game for the next 10 years at max settings. BUT!

You should get off that laptop. Build yourself a Desktop.

But you will be fine.

If you can run DayZ now, it's likely you will be able to run DayZ standalone, it's requirements will be similar while the game should hopefully be better optimized.

Yeah, card is kinda not as good. I ran it on my older laptop with a card similar to yours and it chugged some. Perhaps adjusting some settings here and there could make it work. But really you want something good as it can be kinda pretty with high settings and stuff.
