Good job Rocket humanity working

Recommended Posts

I started playing again after my sit in protest of the weapon nerfing which appears to be reversed.

But what's amazing is I did a loot run of Cheno met 3 different groups of people.

and the most amazing thing is i'm still alive.

great job on reimplimenting the humanity system it really works

The weapon nerf was for arma 2 not Dayz, no sense protesting a balance change for the base game that bleed over into the mod.

Can't say I've had much luck finding frendlies post patch though sadly, hope to soon, although I'm still broken up about the guy I had to kill earlier tonight...he just couldn't help but look at me with that 870(well my 870 from a glitch death corpse -.-)...why man....why

Not sure I am ready to rejoin my fellow survivors until I have atoned.

I would be careful, I have a hero skin myself as I have 37000 humanity

But the other day I witnessed a hero skin kill 6 players in cold blood and his skin didnt change, eiether he was hacking the skin or he has it bugged so it doesnt change

I imagine if it is high enough you could kill some folks every now and then.

Nothing wrong with killing people

250 for a blood transfusion, you gotta give your friend a seriously oil change, before the trolling begins.

my humanity changes every time i log out and back in. seems to be no real rhyme or reason for the changes.

Luckily Cherno has two hospitals full of medical boxes which are packed with blood bags. 8 medical boxes in each hospital or so? 15 blood bags in each box + w/e others on the floor but lets go with the 8 boxes of 15 x 2 hospitals? That's 60,000 humanity.

Should last a while.

Me and my friend have the hero skin somehow dispite being bandits.

How much humanity do you lose for killing someone?

According to me, in any game, this is called boosting.

Retarded gamers do this.

Call it what you want. If the game allows that sort of simple and quick abuse, it's going to happen. If someone wants to troll, they can spend 30 minutes blood bagging each other and then 5 hours trolling.

You have to get there right after respawn to find up to 8 boxes of medical supplies worth of blood bags. And then you have to do it twice. And then you need to find room to fit 240 blood packs in your inventory. With a coyote pack, you can carry 24 slots. That's 36 slots in your inventory for blood packs, or 7 separate inventories worth of blood packs.

Technically, it takes about 3 seconds to blood bag someone. 2 seconds to swap out a rifle. 2 seconds to swap to a blood bag. So each blood bag would take 7 seconds to use. So 7 x 15 for about 85 seconds for a medical box full of blood bags. 680 seconds to use 8 boxes. For 16 that's 1680, or 28 minutes. So 30 minutes. And then travel time. Pretty cheap investment if you have the resources.

But instead of 60,000 humanity, you're talking more like 8000-9000 humanity per person with less than 10 minutes of healing time.

Anyway, I made this suggestion in another thread:

  1. Shooting but not killing a player should cost as much as healing and bandaging them (currently 300).
  2. Shooting bandits costs no humanity. Healing bandits earns no humanity.

Easy fix. And it makes it impossible to humanity farm. If you shoot a non-bandit, you lose as much humanity as you would get bandaging and bloodbagging them (for now, 300). If you shoot a bandit, you lose as much humanity as you would get bandaging and bloodbagging them -- nada.

well it doesnt work flawlessly.. but yeah, some players actually dont shoot others on sight, if they arent looking like a bandit anymore.. wich is great tbh, that kinda makes it possible to group up with randoms again.

Here´s what happened to me yesterday:

I got shot with a humanity of about -25k and when I respawned, I still had my bandit skin but now my humanity was exactly at zero. Didn´t really think about it and started to loot Elektro. Managed to find an Alice pack pretty fast and felt happy about it. Unfortunately, after about ten minutes the swimming animation started and my skin changed to a normal survivor, which is alright for me since my humanity was at 150 then. Too bad, the skin change deleted my Alice pack and I was given a standard Coyote again (lost some useful stuff).

I decided to continue looting and found a Czech backpack and once again I put some useful medical supplies etc. in it. At the firestation I ran into another player and well...there was a firefight. I survived but the murder set my humanity to a negative value and yeah, you can probably guess it...I morphed into a bandit which AGAIN deleted my backpack and left me with a Coyote pack.

I was a little frustrated now and decided to have a little break. Funny thing is, that when I logged in a couple of hours later, I had about -25k humanity again (the same value before my initial death) and it hasn´t changed since then. I don´t know if anybody else has those kind of problems but I think the system is currently a bit bugged?
