Dayz reminds me of Fallout New Vegas

Recommended Posts

I know this may seem kind of silly but fallout ghouls remind me of zombies in dayz. Anyway, these are my two favorite games. Probably because they are so similar.

I like it because your on your own, great customization, weapons are awesome and they both give you that same feeling that you could die at any corner you turn. That feeling is more intense in dayz however it is the same if you play fallout hardcore. Just my 2 cents.

Are you new to Fallout? I found it ridiculously easy to aquire 100k caps with a few hours of playing (The house doesn't always win!)

I would love it, to find a radio in dayz, where u can hear old russian or english music and sometimes a guy ask : "Are there any survivors out there ?"

Would be funny :D

SPOILER : -Galaxy News Radio in DayZ-

I love Fallout New Vegas, but it is missing an important ingredient. DayZ adds something Fallout lacks: Hackers.

Let's face it: Nothing captures the "dog-eat-dog" realism of life like a hacker teleporting and mass-killing everyone.

How old are you?

What's that supposed to mean??

anyway, yeah it also reminds me of FNV, but I wish it could have at least the same Character customization, real morphs, and biuld not lame "skins"

I think he means that anything that isn't XTREME MT DEW REAL COMBAT GRRRAAAH! MILITARY SIMULATOR is just shallow and pedantic... and for children.

Because remember, kids... if there isn't a key binding for both inserting and removing the stick from your ass... it's not real enough.

Especially if you quicksave/restart and give yourself 10 luck.

Fallout 3 (especially heavilly modded) was my favorite game until Day Z, New Vegas a bit behind.

Go try S.T.A.L.K.E.R. shadow of chernobyl with the complete mod, that's another great game in this genre.

I am looking into that as well, sounds like it will be a good experience.

No, F:NV may give you an impression of an open world sandbox but in reality it's a rather scripted experience (just try to go to NV immediately). Just like Skyrim it's also a rather small world filled (too much I think) with side-quests and there seems to be something on the map every 100 m to enter/explore. DayZ is a very different experience.

This game is so like STALKER, that's why I love it so much

STALKER, set within Pripyat with only zombies as your neighbors, would be superior to DayZ.
