First post!

So thought I'd share my experience today as I have read many others and wanted to tell my story.

Me and my mate were rambling up north when we stumbled across 2 Bandits. I shot one and he shot the other. The one I killed dropped but the one he shot was still alive. We both sprayed into the foliage where he was laying but then in true expert timing the server lagged out for about 10 seconds with players Moonwalking on the spot and then when it sorted itself out we were both unconscious and bleeding to death.

So it was a race back to the bodies as we learned that they had both died too - a massacre in which no one was victorious.

I got there first and checked the one I killed. He was geared to the teeth. Everything in his tool belt, DMR littered with mags, the Silenced M4 with more than enough SD clips. A slienced M9, NVG's, Rangefinders Coyote backpack, everything...even the cursed Mountain Dew.

Naturally I took what I could and waited for my friend to arrive and he then looted the other body and his own but with no exceptional gear we carried on.

Feeling pleased with our luck of loot we then stumbled across a tent and pilfered goodies, to then see a Chopper in the next field. Luck was shining on us we thought and as we looted an M14 we felt we were ready to take on a small army.

Heading further north with a plan to do some scouting when a billy no mates Hacker spawns behind us and sprays us with an AS50. Just before I hit the loading screen I saw what i'd describe as green hit boxes of other players and locations and then some guy screaming in a foreign language in the local chat.

Ah well, I follow the rule not to get too attached to your gear and thought about a corpse run but didnt really feel like running a marathon to then get mowed down again.

So on to another server and met some friendly players who didn't shoot me on sight with my flashlight and 5 mins later when I got a gun i returned the favour. I thought this could be a good server to settle down on, but wait what's that in the distance? Ah yes its a graveyard of 15 buses and Dingy in the middle of Cherno and even a bus hanging off the roof of a building.

So onwards and upwards - keep on moving and searching for beans.

That is a sure sign.

Hackers are truly ruining this game. So I've moved to a private hive and the past couple of days have been the best time i've ever had in DayZ.

Vehicles are plentiful yet not hacked, and people are nice enough to not shoot you on sight (most of them anyway.)

And BY FAR the best thing of all.

No hackers, and even when one tries to weasel his way in, the admins are always on and ready with the quick ban stick.
