hacked/scripted weapons

hi, this is to help anyone and me to make it clear/clarify if it is ok to use or pick up a hacked weapon?

as i am aware if you spawn into a game (fresh spawn) with hacked weapons or cheats etc you can get banned but if you pick up a weapon via body or tent is it ok to use it!?

what is the score? only comment if you actually know the truth 100% not just a rumor.......

You can not receive a global ban, AKA battle eye. If an admin somehow knows you have a hacked weapon, I guess he can ban you from the server(who cares there are many others). So unless you run up to an admin and show him your gun, you won't get banned. Lot of people use an AS50 TWS(which is a thermal as50) and unless you see the gun up close, there is no physical way to tell it is a TWS other than just guessing.

edit: and that is from rocket himself about the battle eye. I am not sure if admins have the right to ban somebody for it even if it is there server. Admins have the ability to ban players, but they are still restricted on why and how they ban you. If it is an unfair ban you can just report the server and it can or will be black listed.

If an admin spots you using a hacked weapon he is well within his rights to ban your sorry ass especially if you know where the weapon came from.

Sounds like you guys are butt hurt. Just because they have a hacked weapon doesn't make them invincible. L2play the game and you can still easily kill them. People need to man up and stop bitching about it. The only real OP gun is the As50 TWS and even then it still has it's downsides up close.

Lol, I found an as50 tws, but I dropped it because I hated the goddamn scope. It's like looking through a fucking cloud.

Well, my friends and I got banned from a server cause we killed the admin when his buddy used some sort of minigun to kill us, 2 of us died, one logged off, I stayed long enoght to kill one of them but it was obviously a hacked gun cause I looked it up on youtube and no submachine is that fas in dayz was insane!

You find a hacked gun: if its a dayz avaliable weapon I say go for it! Otherwise you should get banned.

That is actually quite common in DayZ. Admins often engage in hacking and then ban players who ruin their hacking fun.

Many server admins in DayZ like to create their own servers precisely so they can hack and dupe items in peace.

I just don't use them out of principle but it's mighty tempting if half the people in the server are using them.

To be safe, ditch it. It is ok to have per Rocket, but folks will see you as a skiddie for just having it. And some folks have been banned from servers for just having it. Not worth it really.

It is not OK to pick up hacked weapons, some admins will ban you from their servers for having them, but you will not be globally banned for it.

We always dump/hide non-dayz weapons and anyone seen using them either by us or our team or found in the logs will receive a lovely ban, and i am aware of the "rules".
