Delay for characters to disappear after logging out

Recommended Posts

What about a time delay of 5-10 seconds for characters to stay in the game after the person logged out. This way you can´t just rage Alt+F4 out of the game to avoid death.

Sorry if this idea was already posted, I didn´t find anything using the search function.

A sit down timer is already planned as well as monitoring/analysing players log out behaviour, so if someone constantly logs out when near other players or when getting shot, they could be issued a warning. It's likely to be implemented at some point in standalone.

Holy crap, he's right. 'delay alt f4' returns nothing, neither does 'delay logout'... Wow.

To answer your question, it's been brought up about a brazilian times. The rumor I've seen is not until standalone, but I'm not sure on that.

Yeh, the forum search is pretty terrible, often I will get no results, then I will google the same thing and find 20 threads posted on this very forum.

Ah good to hear that this concept is beeing discussed. Just one question, you said it will be implemented in the standalone. Why not in this mod? Does the ARMA II engine not allow that kind of thing or is there another reason?
