So some months ago, I discovered DayZ as I was pretty much fond of Arma 2 and all - I installed it as soon as I could and I did enjoy it.

Owner of a steam version of Arma, some patch that made a lot of drama prevented me from playing DayZ, I just couldn't launch the game with a steam version for some reason, and even before that, it became unplayable (horrible framerate problems and such) ... also, there was some drama on the forum about the features but I didn't care much.

At this point, I couldn't play anymore, and some weeks later, I left my home for job reasons, and due to what I was doing, I had no link with the outside world, no access to the internet or whatever. So I pretty much lost track of anything related to videogames, news, and suchlike.

Now though I'm back, not for long, but still. And I don't know what the fuck happened in the past months. Everything related to DayZ is a bit chaotic and I'm kinda lost, so if possible I'd like a TL;DR of what happened since the update I was speaking about earlier.

Hackers have taken over DayZ, battleye is fucked up, the game is falling apart. Not much really.

What about new features, patches and such? Though I do enjoy drama, I mostly want to know more about new stuff, to continue enjoying it ... from a safe distance.

Okay, basically the standalone is confirmed,

there are heavy issues with hacker,

humanity was reintroduced(beware of loosing your backpack when skin changes).

Choppers were reintroduced without the radar.

The server refilling clips bug is fixed and

evrybody is QQing about hackers, while the amount of high tier gear in cycle became very much, due to tent replication, so NWA and stary gets less frequented.

And there will be tamebal dogs in the next patch :D

What kind of hacking issues? People putting stuff in the mod, you mean? I've seen some videos with people flying planes in DayZ.

Yeah, mainly hacking stuff into the game or porting people somewhere, more expierenced can even become invisible or a dead corpse, while still alive
