How to explain to a potential new player...

I have a friend who I'm trying to talk into playing DayZ. I'm not sure how to go about telling him to actually get the mod though. Does he still need to download it through the Six Updater as it shows on the website, or can he just install DayZ Commander right after he installs Arma II Combined Ops and have the DayZ Commander install the mod?

I guess I want to avoid telling him to install Arma, then install DayZ with Six, then install DayZ Commander and forget about Six, lol. I can only imagine how confusing it might sound to a new player. :)
