    Too hard since 1.7.5.1

I think people forget how loud weapons are in RL. A pistol shot is easily heard well beyond 150m, so why should zombies not swarm to your location?

Who else LIKES the new update?

Zeds are a serious threat now. The first time I played the new patch me and some mates were running around Stary and I entered a house and got cornered in a room with no way out and zombies were pouring in, I had an M4A1 and still couldn't mow them all down in time. I had to call for backup and if my buds didn't show up when they did I most likely would have been overrun (which wouldn't have happened in a earlier patch). So yeah, I love this patch.
  3. Bumping the thread. Keep the applications coming guys, we've got plenty of slots to fill (and we've got enough equipment for just about whatever role you prefer)!

    Endgame: Extraction

I'm no fan of most peoples' "endgame" ideas because frankly, all of them suck. However, I'm actually really liking this idea the more I think about it. I don't think the scenario should play out exactly as OP describes; there should be some fine-tuning. But you're definitely on to a good idea here man. I personally would like this idea for myself mainly. I'm usually a lone wolf, and without a clan this game becomes really boring for me when I get good gear (I have several different severs where my character has great gear but I refuse to play on them because it isn't fun when you don't need to look for anything) but this would give me something to shoot for. If I spend 20 days tracking down supplies and chasing rescue helis around and I finally successfully escape from Chernarus, I would be very happy. And if I get bored and decide to go full-bandit (which I do from time to time), shooting down rescue choppers full of survivors would be fun too.

    dafuq? (Crowbars)

The Legendary Crowbar can only be wielded by the most skilled survivors. Only those that it deems worthy of its power are allowed to use it. Apparently, it found your skills wanting.
  6. Yeah, fairness is not proper reasoning in the slightest. For example: My internet is horrible, and I frequently have to deal with 400+ ping, regardless of what server I'm on. Should everyone's ping be matched to mine for fairness too?
  7. See, this is why I'm not a big fan of BE. Let's assume the worst and say that OP is lying through his teeth and has hacked dozens of servers. Isn't he still owed through common decency the opportunity to appeal it? And if you wont grant him an appeal, at least give him the details of the ban and "clear evidence" that appears to warrant it. It seems really unfair to me for bans to be final and irreversible. Just my 2 cents.

    This game sucks!

I can do without the debug, but I do miss knowing exactly how much blood I have. Sometimes it's hard to tell with just the blood indicator.
  9. Regicide

Today i met the stupidest squad

    This made my day XD
  10. Regicide

    Bandit Skin

Old bandit skin was bad to the bone. Way better than the current one. I would definitely resort to banditry if the old skin was still around; I love that thing.

    From a NEW STARTER

Calling out to other players is always risky. You're rolling the dice whenever you make contact. However, it seems that there are many more friendly players now than there were just a few months ago. Back in July, it seemed like there wasn't a single friendly in all of DayZ, and the game was just one huge death match. Now, I find friendlies all the time. You never know what will happen when you encounter someone else in DayZ, and that's one of the best parts of the game.
  12. Regicide

What was your motive to come to DayZ?

Friend of mine in my old Mount and Musket/Napoleonic Wars regiment made a forum post about it just as I left the regiment. It seemed pretty lame till I started watching YouTube videos about it, and then I was hooked. I ordered Arma II through the mail, and the anticipation of having to wait for it to arrive was worse than being a little kid waiting for Christmas. This was before DayZ Commander and I was skeptical about Six Launcher at the time, so it took me several hours to get the game installed correctly and get all the little issues ironed out. But man, when I finally spawned in on that beach, looking down the sites of my Makarov with zombies roaming just a few feet from me on either side, I knew this game was gonna be awesome.
  13. Fix first person and I may support you. As it is now, no, first person is terrible. You situational awareness is horrible, and even with head-bob turned off, it's still annoying to me. For now, it's best to find a server that has first person only if that's how you want to play.

    Broken roll and looting

Best get a new mouse ASAP. Without scroll I don't believe you can give transfusions, repair vehicles, start campfires, and tons of other stuff. Actions in Arma 2 and DayZ revolve around mouse scroll.
  15. Yeah, zeds are too buggy. The only way to deal with them if you have something like an enfield or a Winchester is to get them inside. If you try to fight them outside, you can't really hit them and it takes too long to reload between shots. Not to mention that half the time they just ignore the laws of nature and teleport inside the building anyway.
