Help? My character never keeps his old gear.

I've been playing for a week now and just now noticed that my character never keeps any of his gear starts off with newly spwan player gear but does keep like the other things. For example I would start of again where I logged off on the server have my blood, zombies killed hunger meter and everything but I never keep my gear. Some errors do come up before I play saying missing something about my character. I'm using arma 2 free so I think that might be something to it. I just got the new beta patch and battleye.

Well so far thats the only real issue I have in the game right now. Isn't too big though I always end up dieing anyways before I log off.

Wait.. so you do NOT have operation arrowhead?

i have operation arrowhead. The game runs fine except for that. I use steam.

He never said that. You can't even install DayZ if you don't have OA.

He's using the demo of ARMA 2, which is "ARMA 2: Free". It's the same thing, but has lower resolution textures. (MUCH lower res.)
