What is wrong with the lighting?!?

The lighting in this game is so messed up. I look away from the sun and it's super bright and I can see clearly then, I look towards the sun and everything get's super dark and hard to see. What is wrong?!

It's not messed up, it's realism. When you look at something bright your eyes let less light in so they don't get damaged making less bright areas seem darker.

... It's definitely not that much darker. It's like playing at night when I look towards the sun.

it's called high dynamic range lighting. it simulates the way yoru eyes adjust to different light conditions.

Its a game mechanic. I use the "Sun at my Back" strategy all the time.

Its been popular for about 3000 years.
