A new map.

Cherno is great, but it could be better. I'd like to see something original.

•More cities

-On Cherno, there's very, very

few towns or cities, with the occasional tiny village in-between. I'd love to see more medium sized-towns, with one huge, main city somewhere on the map.

•Better weather.

-Cherno has to types of weather, foggy and rainy. I would love to see stuff like, sunny, thunderstorm, heavy rain, blaaaaaaaa

•Unique locations.

-I wanna see crazy stuff like amusement parks, dams, malls, and hotels. Basically, more unique buildings.

•Tell a story.

-I wanna see blockades, military outposts, evac zones, etc.

•Spawns that make sense.

-Guns should spawn at military zones, melee weapons should spawn in civilian homes, and food other than beans should spawn at mall or food courts.

•Interactive objects.

-The world of Cherno is there for only one reason, and that reason is to give players olently of room to all the stuff they want. Thee should be stuff like chests, crates, and vending machines to take up space.

•Make the world beautiful.

-Let's face it: Cherno looks just plain ugly. The colors are overly dreary,the textures get really fuzzy, and the whole place is just kind of.... dreamy, almost. I understand, it's the zombie apocalypse, but it's not like it makes everything overly grey. What

we need is color, and sharpening.

•Lastly, zones.

-A cool feature would be to have zones that have a zombie density percentage. The higher the percentage, the more zombies spawn there. And, like another thread said, they should be randomized.

If I think of anything else, I'll post it, but I'm tired of writing. Actually, I'm currently on a road trip and I'm writing this on my phone, and it's frustrating. Post more ideas below more so I don't have to.

Most of what you said isn't possible with the current engine, however, the stand alone probably will do most of this.

You do realize that DayZ runs on the ArmA2 engine and uses allmost all of it's graphics? A lot of these points are great for the stand alone version of this game

The things I really like are these points;

Yeah your right there need to be a few more towns in chenarus especially at the northern end

somewhere on the map.

There are most types of weather coverd i think

there you are right to we need more unique buildings, but i think they'll come in the game over time

i don't know what you exactly mean by blockades military ouposts and evac zones, if you mean just the locations they exist if you mean scriptet zones with npc's they should never exist.

at the moment the spawn make sence most time (firestation are an exeption)

never heard about tents and vehicles they work like chests and make a lot mor sense here :D

the textures are caused by the fact that they are the default arma 2 textures so we'll se them in the mod forever or at least a long time

there are other maps in arma 2 already. i dont understand why we dont get to use them. it would be nice if i could play on them as another survivor. it sucks i feel like i cant get on anymore unless my friends are on, and we havent been able to get together in over a week.

As for the vehicle and tent thing, those aren't really fulfilling what I meant. I meant objects that make the world look like it was populated before the outbreak.

Oh, about the military outposts, I didn't mean add NPCs, (NPCs in Dayz? Blasphemy!!!!) what I meant was add abandoned outposts and stuff that show how exactly the military got overrun, and how the outbreak happened.

This has nothing to do with the Engine.

The issue is, that creating all these things would take months of work for coders, map makers, asset designers, etc.

That is not really feasible for a mod.
