Trying to find a heavily-moderated server (to avoid cheats).

Recommended Posts

DayZ seems like a great mod, but the presence of cheats destroys the game experience perhaps more than any other game I've played. Are there any servers that are heavily moderated to prevent such abuse? Thanks.

There are, but you have to find them. I look for people posting with their server names in their sigs. Usually they are more serious about things.

US866 Seattle 7 (Free Tacos) by the Free People of Chernarus is the server me and my friends moderate pretty heavily. We can't always catch the hackers beforehand but we normally ban them within minutes. One of us is almost always on our TS server too. (ts866.ausimus.tk) and we're looking for people who like to hang in our Day Z server.

Of course last night we banned about 7 hackers in 30 minutes and 10 minutes later we were DDoS'd for a few hours until our hosting provider stopped routing the traffic. The server was back up this morning though.

Stop by! We try our best to catch the punks. =)

Generally, Regular and Recruit servers have less hackers.

I haven't come across ONE hacker in my two months of playing. :)

most of the servers that are strictly enforced to keep hackers/cheaters under control are private hive servers..

and i totaly dont blame them for doing it..
