Well you better be make sure those people that you ban actually spawned it themselves, because if they appeal their ban for simply being in possession of a hacked gun, then that may be bad news for you because its not a ban-able offence. You could risk being black listed. Anyway on the topic, I believe that the TWS was once in the game yes? If thats the case, there would be a chance that that particular TWS is legit.

No need to spread misinformation, we've got more control to police our servers. I think you'd be best served looking into your fellow admins actions rather then leaving your players wide open to cheats.

Personally I'd like BE to scan the *.RPT periodically and kick if a blacklisted weapon is in a players inventory. When I review over our logs for a suspect a players entries due to other behavior that got them flagged when I see a blacklisted weapon it only further decreases their chances of legitimacy in my eyes. In most cases they fully understand the message they're sending, they're semi-indirectly condoning cheating. I believe if we could kick players periodically with such weapons it would be another great deterrent to cheaters.

Lulz , i've post in cheat report a lot of player I banned just for having those weapons and not having spawn them on my server...no-one has answer to it;..

I have one too since a long time, found it on a body in barracks.

But I also got my own server, so no admin to ban me for using it. :P

Wouldn't mind getting banned on another server too.

I would prefer that the Hive checks for weapons and removes it instead of banning for it though.

If you’re caught / spotted on UK22 with an illegal weapon you will be asked to remove it, it will then be checked that you have indeed removed it. If you don’t remove it (or leave as most people who want to cheat will do) you will be kicked to make way for someone who isn’t cheating, if you return with it you will be banned.

End of the day its cheating and falls under rule 11 / e

11. As a server admin you must not:

a. You are not permitted to ban players for killing yourself or clan members.

b. You are not permitted to shutdown your server when you’re killed.

c. You are not permitted to shutdown your server when you lose a vehicle.

d. You are not permitted to kick or ban for smacktalk.

e. You are not permitted to ban for suspected cheats or exploits of a non-server-disruptive nature, including but not limited to ghosting, unverified cheating, duping and similar, UNLESS you have solid evidence, IE logs.

Rule 11 is a catch all that lets an admin, admin their server. Carrying and using a non-legal weapon would also arguably be of a disruptive nature as its not available to everyone on the server by the designed mechanics, which ever way you try to sugar coat it, youre cheating.

Bottom line is if your not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem and the people (like you) who bleat the rule without even reading them properly are as big a scourge on this game as the gigantic cheating problem.
