Hunger Games anyone?

HUNGER GAMES

So this topic is about something a little different to the 'thunder dome' etc

I think as a seperate server you could have a 'hunger games' style competition.

• Each player is spawned into the middle with no weapons, nothing.
  

• In the middle lays a huge arsenal of weapons which anyone can grab after being released.
  

• Different maps(arenas) may have different weapons, climates and geography, which leads to new strategies. which will mean players must play it by ear in order to survive. add to the emotional depth that Dayz already has on us.
  

• it still remains perma-death.
  

• Each game is in a 'round' fashion where when a certain number of players are ready the game starts.
  

• New survival tools introduced. and it will be beneficial for players to use them if they want to stay alive.
  

• teaming with somebody in the beginning may save you. but 'bandits' will be on their own. not to forget if you did team with somebody, either one would have to kill each other at the end.
  

• Statistics keeping track of the hunger games champs.
  

I could add a lot more of my own ideas into this, but i'd prefer to see how this goes first.

The reason why Dayz could pull this off, is the survival basis of the game already, the ability to modify the game with spawn points and equipment spawns. the weather system already on the game. the large extensive maps on Arma2 which are currently unused at the moment.

Havnt seen hunger games so i dunno.

I remember posting a thread about how cool a Battle Royale: Survival Program Mod would be XD

Ive heard its similiar to hunger games and this trailer insists it :S

But if it is, i wouldnt be surprised if Arma is the right engine for it XD

thats a really twisted movie haha. but yeah pretty much same storyline.(i wouldnt change the whole of dayz into this. ) but it would be a nice add on right. leave the stress of surviving against bandits and zombies. leave it up to us with the same tools etc

DayZ is not that much different to hunger games already. What you are suggesting though is in my opinion something for another mod and not something to add to DayZ.
