Anyone found any yet? I know they are used with the entrenching tool to make sandbag walls etc.

But not sure if sandbags are even in the mod yet.

A lot of people are pushing for a temporary fortification option. That would be immense.

Never even seen one. Can't even imagine why thy would be useful.

Do we pick them up in singles or in a batch of five, or something.

The item itself looks like a single burlap sack collapsed into a heap, but it deploys into a ~2x1m sandbag wall when used with an entrenching tool.

Haven't seen these or wire fencing kits since 1.6.0.1?

You have a good point there mate, about the fencing kit I mean.

I've seen sandbags, but you're definitely correct about wire fencing kits.

Ah, a full wall. Sounds a bit more useful, not that it will stop the Zeds.

Maybe these have replaced the wire fences.

I've found 2 so far, I use them as cover near my tents. If you have an entrenching tool, they create a waist high wall, about the same length as a wire fence (you can 'v' over them). Useless against Zeds, but they provide adequate cover against players.

They're essentially the military equivalent of wire fencing kits. A slight upgrade because they can be used as cover in addition to roadblocks/fortification.

I think we all know what they are used for, the point of the thread was that I had never seen them in game.

I guess you haven't been following the thread very closely.

Sorry, my fault - I asked what they looked like.

I've seen sandbags deployed on Balota airstrip control tower in FI3 server. Placed on the front door it seemed to be there to give protection against a zombie horde. If it really slows zombies down on doorways it seems like a good idea to me to place them.

None of the object seem to stop Zombies; they just walk straight through them. The wire fences, however, they worked a treat!

another use for sandbags if you get 4 is..

drive your car into 3. then place the 4th behind it! then your car cant be nicked.

Except you know, when I walk up and disassemble the front one and drive away.
