Banned Newcomer? =(

Recommended Posts

Hello to all,

I bought Arma 2 & Arma 2 OA about over a month ago because a good number of friends recommended the game for the mod DayZ. I have played DayZ for over 40 hours over the past month and I must say I really like it. I enjoy the game even though I never got the chance to play it as much as I'd like to.

Now to my point. Over a week ago, I tried to get into the usual server that I go to for DayZ like I would normally do, but then I get a message like this: "You were kicked off game. (BattlEye: Global Ban #7729)".

I was puzzled.

I have no idea what that was about, so I decided why not just google it. But to my surprise there wasn't any info on this topic. So, a friend of mine suggested I contact BattlEye through their e-mail. So I searched and found their "support-contact e-mail" and I sent them an email asking why I was banned along with the screenshots of the ban and my game ID. Haven't gotten a response, and I feel like I'm probably not going to get one.

I was hoping someone here in the forums has a way to fix this or at least identify what the ban is all about. I know I didn't cheat, so I really would like clarification.

Thank you for your time.

-Sim

Note: I already tried re-installing game and re-installing mod and I have verified my files many times.

I have also uploaded a screenshot of ban so you can see it. Same screenshot was sent to BattlEye.

If what you're saying is true (as in you haven't cheated or something) then it's one of those f*cked up BattleEye bans, battleeye has been doing a LOT of bans recently, and to our "surprise" some of these were false negatives. They said they're sorting it out, in your case it might be a false positive as well. I'd wait for BattleEye to contact you, it might take some days however but it's sadly the only thing you can do. Let's hope for a positive outcome, stay frosty!

Guess you've been using scripts?..

Only thing you can do. is wait for an answer, on the forum right here, you'll only get hate messages, because BATTLEYE is never wrong!

I only get the chance to play maybe 5 hours throughout the week. Trust me. Not interested in cheating. haha

Also, I sent them an e-mail over a week ago. No response yet. Honestly it is the only reason I am here. I do not know who to turn to.

Rocket made a post recently saying that there is nothing that can be done on the dayz side of things about bans from battle eye or server side. I don't know what else to tell you other then to get on battle eyes case. Good luck.

Could it have been from your ping being too high? That's happened to me.

Also, my husband and I have one copy of Arma Combined Ops, and it's on two different computers. We tried to both log into DayZ to play together and it would kick us off the game then too... because we need two copies of Arma in order to play together (which I have no problem buying, but hey... you can't blame us for trying, right? LOL)

Anyway, could it be that your CD key was in use by someone else or maybe your ping was too high?

Assuming you're not a dickless script kiddie, it is possible someone was using a pirate copy with your CD key.

I am positive that it is not a ping issue. I am in Texas and the server is in Chicago. My ping is always fair. Not good, but fair. Never had problems with ping before.

As for CD key, I am not sure how to check/verify if my key is being used by someone else.

Also, I don't think high ping warrants a ban. (At least I hope not)

This is what I was afraid of. But I can't jump on a wagon just yet. I need BattlEye to verify.

Ping setting is done by admin server side, and isn't going to get you a global ban, just kicked off the game for too high of a ping.

Hope this gets sorted out OP....
